Create and Link Tasks
In some documents (e.g. Requirements Engineering, Risk Analysis) you have the option of creating tasks manually and organising them hierarchically in a tree structure.
Example: Requirements and Tests
You can create and hierarchically link the following types of tasks using the button +New :
- Document
- Chapter
- Test
- Test run
- Requirement
A legend provides an overview of the various tasks for each document.

When you create a task (e.g. chapter), a useful link type and filter (e.g. parent - document type) is automatically suggested for the hierarchical link to another task. However, you are not restricted to this suggestion, but can link any task within the version.

The task is assigned to the logged-in person by default. This assignment can be changed at any time. Once you have created the task, it is automatically opened for further editing.
Hierarchical Overview
In addition to the list view, a hierarchical overview of the tasks from this document is also available.
Please note: Only tasks from the current document are listed in this overview. Other linked tasks are not displayed.
You also have the option of creating new child elements (tasks) of a task directly via the + symbol.

The task to be linked is already pre-selected here. However, the setting can be deleted using the
icon:

The name of the task can also be edited afterwards.
